Unplugged second controller that controls invisible Luigi for little brother somehow more responsive than 3rd party Joycons

 

I was playing Tetris 99 and I told my little brother he could be Luigi. I then proceeded to give him an old NES controller that the dog chewed up. It wasn't plugged in. I was using my $33 Humonkori Joycons that I had. 

After one round of Tetris, my brother was doing way better than me on his unplugged NES controller. My controller kept freezing up, the up button no longer worked, and the cheap plastic started to fall apart. I immediately took the unplugged NES controller from my brother and gave him the cheaply made Joycons. My frustration and failure decreased 100%.
